We reserve the right to decline service on any piece that falls outside our stated scope or that we assess as unsuitable for service without risk of further damage.

- Confirm that you are the owner of the piece or have authority from the owner to authorise service work

5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, photographs, layout, and design — is the property of Tickwright or its licensors. You may not reproduce, copy, or republish any part of this website for commercial purposes without written permission.
Service records, custodianship files, and photographic inventories produced by Tickwright are prepared for the benefit of the client but remain the intellectual property of Tickwright until full payment for the relevant service is received.
6. Payment Terms
Published service prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Prices include labour and standard consumables (gaskets, lubricants) but exclude parts costs, which are itemised separately and agreed before sourcing begins.
- Payment is due upon collection of the piece or, for the Custodianship Programme, in advance at the commencement of each annual term
- Accepted payment methods: cash, bank transfer, or DuitNow QR
- If the scope of work changes during service, a revised estimate will be provided and agreed before further work proceeds
- If you choose not to proceed after an inspection has been completed, a bench inspection fee may apply and will be advised at intake
Cancellation of Custodianship Programme: The arrangement may be paused or ended at any point without penalty. A pro-rated refund of the unused portion of the annual fee will be issued, less the cost of any services already delivered.
7. Service-Specific Terms
7.1 Quartz & Battery Module Care
This service covers battery replacement with movement inspection, contact cleaning, gasket renewal, and pressure verification. Work is typically completed same day. If additional faults are identified during inspection that fall outside this scope, you will be contacted before further work is carried out.
7.2 Vintage Automatic Rebuild
Full rebuild of automatic calibres with a bench scope of four to six weeks. This includes donor-part sourcing where required and is subject to parts availability. If original parts are no longer available and suitable donor parts cannot be sourced, we will advise you before proceeding. Twelve months of workmanship coverage applies to the labour component of this service.
7.3 Collection Custodianship Programme
Annual arrangement requiring a minimum of six mechanical pieces. Includes two full movement services, photographic inventory, storage advisory, and a maintained custodianship file. Parts costs for any additional repairs identified during the year are not included and will be quoted separately.
8. Workmanship Coverage
Vintage automatic rebuilds carry twelve months of workmanship coverage on the labour from the date of collection. This covers faults that arise directly from our work. It does not cover:
- Damage resulting from impact, water ingress, or misuse after collection
- Natural wear of components beyond the scope of the original rebuild
- Modifications or interference by third parties after collection
Coverage for quartz and battery services applies to the gasket and seal for the duration appropriate to the cell and materials used, as noted in the service record.
9. Disclaimers
Tickwright takes reasonable professional care in all work carried out. However, we do not make representations about the future performance, longevity, or resale value of any piece following service. Watch movements are complex mechanical instruments and the outcome of any repair is subject to the condition and history of the piece.

10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Tickwright's total liability to you in connection with any service is limited to the amount paid by you for that service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.
Tickwright shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including supply chain disruption affecting parts availability, natural events, or other force majeure circumstances. We will notify you of any such delays promptly.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Tickwright harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misrepresentation about ownership or authority over a piece, or your misuse of this website.
12. Termination
Either party may end a service arrangement at any time before work commences. Once bench work has begun on a piece, the cost of work completed to that point remains payable. The Custodianship Programme may be ended at any time without penalty, subject to the refund terms in Section 6.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute, we ask that you contact us in the first instance at [email protected] so that we can attempt to resolve the matter informally. If informal resolution is not achieved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Penang, Malaysia.
Consumer disputes may also be referred to the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia (Tribunal Tuntutan Pengguna Malaysia) for matters within its jurisdiction under the Consumer Protection Act 1999.
14. General Provisions
